Assessment of the magnetic properties displayed by the crude cell extracts (CCEs) containing <t>different</t> <t>citrine-ferritin</t> fusion proteins using permanent neodymium ring magnets. The magnets were arranged in a 2×2 grid as shown in the leftmost panel, and covered with a black paper to aid visualization, onto which the mini petri dishes containing the <t>CCE-OptiPrep</t> density gradient medium mixtures (17% OptiPrep) were placed.
